Fluorite – Erongo Mountains, Karibib, Namibia
 This 8.2 cm fluorite is a true work of nature. Beneath the crystal-clear outer zone lies an intense green core that fades into a wonderful violet toward the base. The violet is visible both within the crystal and along the lower outer edges of the fluorite. The palm-sized crystal has a small muscovite matrix at the base, and a few fine schorl crystals are intergrown along the sides.
 The slightly dissolved surfaces form a very beautiful surface structure and stand in strong contrast to the mirror-smooth end surface, through which one can see into the interior of the fluorite.
 The play of colors is best seen when the crystal is illuminated from the side. A magnificent display piece from Namibia that appears completely different depending on the light.
