Fluorite, Artichoke Quartz – Huayllapon Mine, Pasta Bueno, Pallasca, Ancash, Peru
 Transparent fluorite octahedrons with a mint-green core are mounted on highly lustrous artichoke quartz crystals up to 9 cm long. The intact fluorites contrast well with the partially crystal-clear quartz. This aesthetic cabinet specimen consists of two large artichoke quartz crystals, partially covered with crystal-clear quartz in the normal habit and numerous fluorescent (LW) fluorites. All contact surfaces of the quartz are healed. The fluorites, up to 2.5 cm in size, are heavily parqueted, typical for the locality.
