Fluorite with Aquamarine – Erongo Mountain, Karibib, Erongo Region, Namibia
Find 2005ex Collection Malzahn
A wonderful paragenesis of rare green beryl with tourmaline var. Schörl and fluorite.
In 2007, three large druses with unique beryl were found in the Erongo massif in Namibia. The finds showed the paragenesis of schörl, fluorite and beryl, which is typical for Namibia. The polychrome beryls are mostly translucent colorless white, the upper sixth, the "cap", is green to blue-green and of good transparent quality. Because of this color distribution in the crystal they are called “Greenkop”.
The almost opaque dark purple fluorites reveal a true play of colors in transmitted light.
A rare and highly aesthetic collector's item from Namibia. The almost opaque dark purple fluorites reveal a true play of colors in transmitted light.
