The absolutely flawless shine means that the sharp-edged epidotes with their wonderful end faces stand out well from the matrix. The crystals, which are up to 1.2 cm long, appear almost black at first glance, but even without artificial backlighting they show a beautiful bottle green and perfect transparency.
