Wonderful collection piece with numerous undamaged, sharp-edged and lustrous epidotes. The crystals, which are up to 1 cm long, have good transparency and show their wonderful green color even in light transmitted light.  
Le Bourg d'Oisans is an important locality in the French Alps and is the type locality for famous minerals such as epidote, anatase and axinite (Fe) (formerly known as ferroaxinite)
