Diaspora – Milas-Bafa, Mugla Province, Turkey

 At just under 4 cm, this two-coloured, transparent diaspora is a considerable size for its species.
 The crystal has an unusually clear crystal shape for diaspore and a perfect transparency in cutting quality.
 The sharp-edged gemstone has shiny, smooth end surfaces and striped prisms. Depending on the light, the upper quarter appears in a violet tone which gently changes into a greenish yellow.
