Cupro-Adamin – Hillarion, Lavrion (Laurion), Greece

 A beautiful specimen of intensely green, copper-bearing adamite from Laurion, Greece. It displays a rich color. Lead and silver ores were mined in the Laurion mining area south of Athens as early as 5,000 years ago. Today, the mines are closed to the public.
