Cuprite, mimetite – Tsumeb Mine, Namibia

 An exceptionally beautiful and intact specimen of the extremely rare combination of lustrous cuprite and mimetite. Up to 10 mm in size, the highly lustrous, metallic cuprite crystals display a clear, deep red color when viewed through transmitted light. Radially arranged on the cuprites are intensely yellow and transparent mimetite crystals, up to 12 mm in length. A rare collector's item of the highest quality from the classic locality of Tsumeb in Namibia.
