Chrysocolla on malachite after azurite – Lupoton Mine, DR Congo

 A beautiful example of this remarkable pseudomorph. In this piece, the original azurite crystals have been replaced by malachite. The malachite is then replaced by, or overgrown with, chrysocolla.
 A color-intensive and mineralogically interesting collector's item from the Congo.
