Calcite – Gongsheng, Guilin, Guanxi, China

 A very attractive calcite specimen from China. The wonderfully lustrous and transparent calcite is coated on the back with a thin, reddish layer (probably hematite). This creates a striking effect when viewing the crystal from the front.
