Beryllonite – Nyet-Bruk, Braldu Valley, Skardu, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan

Exceptionally large beryllonite crystal. This very rare mineral, which is chemically a sodium beryllium phosphate, shows the typical columnar, complex structure of the mineral on the top. The sides are flat.
Under shortwave, the translucent crystal shines in a neon green.
