Quartz cluster with Adularia - Grieswies, Rauris, Austria
Very aesthetic and water-clear Quartz specimen from the Grieswies in the Rauriser Valley near Salzburg in Austria. The arrangement of the crystals and the snow-white adularia make the piece a particularly beautiful specimen.
The Rauris is known for its diverse quartz finds. Almost all deposits are in the core zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park. For some years now, collecting minerals has only been possible here with a special permit. Because of this, minerals from the Rauris are rarely offered. The quartz specimen comes from the collection of Josef Kolb, who has been searching for minerals there regularly since the 1970s.
