Quartz - Grieswies, Rauris, Austria
 
 A wonderful crystal of the best quality from Grieswies, in the Rauris Valley near Salzburg in Austria. At the base of the dominant crystal, three smaller peaks have grown. At the contact of these crystals, limonite provides a contrast to the otherwise clear quartz crystal. The lower area of the all around crystallized specimen is overgrown with small adular crystals. The 7.5 cm x 4 cm piece was found by Josef Kolb and comes from his collection.
