Quartz with Pericline - Rauris, Austria
 
 Mineralogical rarity. Quartz specimen in the transitional habitus with three crystals, one crystal being heavily etched on one side. this combination is extremely rare. The piece is very aesthetic and the clear quartz contrasts nicely with the white albite and a little green chlorite at the base. Nice piece from the Rauris. 
 The Rauris is known for its diverse rock crystal finds. Almost all deposits are located in the core zone of the Hohe Tauern National Park. For some years now, collecting minerals has only been possible here with a special permit. Because of this, minerals from the Rauris are rarely offered.
