Honey/amber colored barites ("Goldbarites") on yellow calcite from Elk Creek are distinctive and very popular in the mineral market. This characteristic specimen features an undamaged barite of an impressive 5.3 cm in size of the best quality and luster.  The crystal is perfectly transparent and shows the characteristic amber color. What is special about this piece is the smaller horizontal, baryte grown in the middle.
