Apophyllite, Stilbite – Rahuri, Ahmadnagar, Maharashtra, India

Highly lustrous and greenish apophyllites in the rare "disco ball" growth on white stilbite. This rare crystal form comes from a unique find in 2001. There was no comparable find anywhere in the world and so only a few dozen of these wonderfully arranged apophylites have been unearthed.
With a diameter of almost 6 cm, this is an apophylite disco ball of considerable size.
The rarity and wonderful aesthetics of the pieces from this find make them very popular with collectors. Since the entire find was sold, individual pieces from old collections only very rarely come onto the market.
