Apatite, quartz on muscovite grass – Minas da Panasqueira, Covilha, Castelo Branco, Portugal
 Apatite measuring 1.1 cm thick and 3.3 cm in diameter, with a beautiful quartz crystal. The various growth zones (phantoms) of the crystals are clearly visible in transmitted light. This piece exhibits the hexagonal, barrel-shaped structure typical of this world-renowned locality in Portugal. A classic collector's item from this famous locality.
 Unfortunately, the apatite is not completely flawless, but this does not detract from its aesthetics.
