Apatite with Pyrite on Dolomite - Minas da Panasqueira, Covilha, Castelo Branco, Portugal
 
Group of three Apatite crystals up to 1.4 cm thickness. In transmitted light the different growth zones of the crystals are well visible. The piece exhibits the moss green color and hexagonal barrel-shaped structure characteristic of this world-renowned locality in Portugal. The paragenesis of apatite on muscovite and dolomite forms a very aesthetic structure.
