Amethyst scepter – Fiescher Glacier, Valais, Switzerland

Amethysts from the Fiescher Glacier are something very special and extremely rare. The locality where the sought-after scepter amethysts can be found is only accessible to experienced mountaineers. In the middle of a rugged, dangerous and seemingly unreal glacier world, the melting ice river revealed a small zone where amethysts are found. Only a few prospectors have been lucky enough to find crevices with these colorful and beautifully sceptered amethysts.
The ice at the locality has continued to retreat, but it is now covered by a meter-thick layer of rock, thus preventing any further finds.
The collector's item offered here consists of 4 amethyst scepters on smoky quartz. The scepters have grown on slightly recrystallized quartz.
