Amethyst Scepter Quartz - Val Giuv, Tavetsch, Graubünden, Switzerland

 Amethyst scepter on a smoky quartz steam. A particularly interesting crystallized surface with an intense violet amethyst coloring for this locality. Very aesthetic and high-contrast collection specimen from the Tujetsch in Grisons.
 The Val Giuv is the most important locality for smoky quartz and smoky quartz gwindel in Graubünden. At an altitude of around 3,000 meters, the prosepctors spend most of the summer searching  for the hidden treasures in the steep walls of the Piz Giuv.
