 High luster amethyst cluster  Idar-Oberstein, self collected by Karl Rickauer in the early 1980s. Since the quarry has been closed in the 1980s, it is almost impossible to find new material.
 The particularly intense color makes this piece a rare classic from Germany. Even in an international comparison, such clarity and intense color is hard to find in ametysts.
