Adularia as Manebach twin -

Pizzo Lucendro, Gotthard-Massiv, Ticino, Switzerland

Milky white Adularia twin, with typical prismatic elongation and attractive surface markings, a classic for the Gotthard region! Its tip shows very nicely the shiny, gently reentrant Manebach twin angle. Small Hematite platelets are characteristic for the locality. Found in August 2019 by Gilberto Leonardi/Airolo on the Poncionetto ridge, with collection label by Stefan Weiß
